The Allegro Cozumel is a three star resort, so it is not a high end luxury experience. The resort is geared towards families and casual vacations. The property is kept immaculately clean, and the gardens are tidy and pleasant. The rooms are standard but clean and comfortable. Air conditioning is on a thermostat. The beach is lovely, and there are several pools: one for kids, one for the whole family, and a small premium pool if you pay for the upgrade. The staff is very polite and helpful, and patient with guests. We paid for the premium upgrade which allowed us to use the premium pool and breakfast restaurant. It is nice, but is not necessary to enjoy the resort. You do get asked to visit their sister resort the Occidental when you first arrive. It can feel like you're being hassled if that is your mindset, but if you stop and chat with the staff who are working for that promotion, they are very friendly, and not pushy. If you aren't interested, just say no and they won't ask again. We rented a car so that we could be more independent, but if you chose to spend your whole visit at the resort, there is a whole team of staff who are in charge of entertainment and excursions. They are friendly and creative, and they make the central pool and beach area very festive. If you have kids, this place is perfect. If you don't, it's still a great spot for an inexpensive resort stay. My only negative comment is that there is a communicating door between adjoining hotel rooms, and it allows a lot of sound transmission.

Had a really nice time staying here. The staff were very friendly and nice. The food was typical resort buffet food, so just okay. The room was really nice, but you could hear your neighbor a little bit (I’ve had that happen at other resorts here). My favorite part was that the deck of your room has a hammock, such a great touch. There’s a kids pool with two slides (why don’t they have adult slides at resorts???), a pool with a bridge over, and a pool with a swim up bar. They have lots of chairs on the beach. It has a nice resort feel with lots of plan trees. It’s a really pretty place. Its one of the cheaper resorts on the island but definitely nice. If you’re on a budget it’s perfect. Definitely kid friendly. They have a decent beach volleyball court too. The had tables in the lobby to book snorkel/dive tours as well as a pier that the boats can pick you up on which is a big plus for those who don’t rent a car. They also have a fiesta car rental table. I’ve used Fiesta, they’re good and very nice. All in all I would stay there again!

Great amenities and staff! We stayed at the Allegro Cozumel for 5 nights and everything was great from the food and drinks and beautiful beach. We have been coming for years to Cancun and have been staying at the Riviera Maya but the previous vacations were not so pleasant because of the seaweed so we decided to change route and stay in Cozumel so this is how we stumbled across the Allegro Cozumel. Without a doubt we plan on returning to the Allegro next summer.

Great resort. Its worth the extra to upgrade your reservation to get more perks. Great staff. A special thanks to Averisto who made our 33rd wedding anniversary special with dinner for two on the beach. Thanks to Ingrid for taking great care of us. She was always right there when we needed her. She was amazing. I know all inclusive says tip are included but tip anyways if you can. They are hard working people there and they go above and beyond what is needed to make your stay special to you.

The resort is beautiful as well as the beach area! Carlos the server from the buffet is amazing! My biggest complaint is the music at the beach and pool area! Extremely loud!!! You can't relax because they are constantly blasting the music. Can't even hear the ocean or the birds chirping when laying on the beach! I will never return to the resort because I feel exhausted from constant music. Even though I asked on few occasions to turn the music down within minutes they would raise it up to the point where one could not think and relax!

The hotel was at partial capacity during Christmas.The rooms were dated but clean.The food selection was very limited and overall was marginal at best including Christmas Eve dinner.The front desk staff was a challenge trying to extend a nite for the same rate we paid the previous two.The pools were clean as was the beach.The hotel concierge was nice during the sale, but told us round trip taxi was included when it wasn't.We called him and he answered the first time but hen qe called again to have him speak to the ticket counter, he kept saying "hello" during two calls like he couldn't hear us and hung up.Not very trustworthy gent!For an "all-inclusive", it is average.

Venimos regresando pasamos el fin de semana,la playa es linda, el lugar tambien, solo que nos toco frio y no se pudo usar la piscinas mi hijo se metio un rato al jacuzzi (si se le puede. llamar asi) frente al mar, el agua estaba caliente y aguantable, no habian muchas personas entonces no se organizaron actividades, el ultimo diami hijo disfruto un rato con Chiharu Salinas, fue muy atenta y lo consintio, los meseros muy serviales sin embargoel menu y el sazon dejan mucho que desear,todo esta reducido, no habren todos los resturantes ybueno eso es por el tema covid sin embargo dejan pocas opciones de menu, pensaba pasarla mejor, pero fue aburrido. no estoy segura de que volveria, creo probare otros lugares antes, Si pueden esperar a que todo se regularice les sugiero eso, ya que en especifico con este hotellas restricciones no dejan disfrutarlo al 100. esperaba disfrutarlo mas por pertencer a grupo Barcelo.

While the resort is only operating at half capacity the stay was wonderful. The staff made you feel like this was the best vacation! The kids pool is wonderful for younger children. Of course it’s ocean front and the beach area is amazing! Shout out to Chiharu, she is the activities director for the children. From the moment we met her I instantly felt safe with her and my children adored her! She had fun activities planned and made sure they were always included. We miss you already. Another shout out to Alejandro the pool bar tender! He was amazing! He was attentive and always willing to make whatever drink we asked him too! He was fun and remembered us everyday and made sure we were taken care of! Overall even with some glitches during our stay we loved it. One piece of information I wish we knew was not all the restaurants were open and you had to have reservations for the one that was open. Not everyone got reservations each night. We only got one special dinner besides New Years! We cannot wait to come back and try all the restaurants!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Allegro. Exceptional customer service from all of the staff. Arbey, who is in charge of entertainment, was absolutely amazing all week! The food was great, breakfast especially and every staff member is doing their best to keep everyone safe. Last but not least is that the water and the beach is the most beautiful on the island! Beds are comfy, staff is very friendly, breakfast and lunch are pretty decent dinner is not great. The reservation process for getting into the restaurants is confusing at best. They give you a bracelet a check in, if you lose it it's 50 bucks however you don't get a new one which begs the question why you needed one of the first place. They will also give you a free key, if you lose that you get another one for free. Dive instructors are super friendly but they pack people in on the boat and have a set schedule on where you're diving.

No ha sido una buena experiencia en elhotel. Es todo incluido pero la piña colada que probé y otras bebida, estaban asquerosas. La comida no es buena, no tiene mucho sabory no tiene mucha variedad. Cuando hacen el cuarto, lo hacen de una manera siperficial y el personal de los cuartos se nota que están fastidiadoscontestan de mala gana. El ambiente en las alberca es muy bueno y recomiendo la empresa de buceo igualmente dentro del hotel hay un servicio de tour a los arrecifes muy recomendable.

Exelente ubicación, playa hermosa, hotel muy bonito, atención muy buena, limpieza en general buena, la animación buena, le pongo 4 estrellas por la comida, aunque tenía buen sazón la variedad era poca quiero pensar que por el tema del covid pero en nuestra experiencia no quedamos muy satisfechos con este punto. Si lo recomiendo y si volvería.Me gustaría hacer mención especial a Henrry (mesero) y al animador no recuerdo su nombre pero hicieron mas amena nuestra estadía.Visité este hotel la semana pasada.

Allegro Cozumel was one of the best all inclusive resorts I ever been on. I went with my family and they all enjoyed their stay. The rooms were small but the beds were so comfortable. And very clean. The beach was breath taking. The service was 100% amazing!!! I love Simon, he was the best waiter ever had! And the hostesses in the morning was SO nice. The food wasn’t bad. It was very good for breakfast and lunch was amazing especially the burgers and grilled chicken. The dinner was a little repetitive. Overall it was amazing. We will come back in a heartbeat!

First week open due to covid. The service and food was amazing. Arbey is the daily and nightly entertainment he kept us busy doing activities during the day and night. I will be returning in a few months and mostly due to his wonderful personally. All the bartenders are amazing, Erich, Luis, Freddy, Juan, etc..sorry if I missed anyone.
