This is an older hotel with a homey--rather than trendy--lobby. Which I really appreciated. We always look for a hotel with big jacuzzi tubs in the rooms or hot tubs with a pool. These are increasingly hard to find, and often booker's are not honest about what they offer. NOT TRUE HERE. This hotel has BOTH jacuzzi tubs and a hot tub. It was wonderful to have a soak. The bed is not like most unforgiving concrete hotel beds. It was VERY comfy & I had a WONDERFUL night's sleep.

My room smelled like smoke. The bathrooms are small. The pool area roof looks like it's about to fall down. Need more modern decor. Everything looks 60s. But I loved the breakfast . The white girl in the front desk that had bags under her eyes was a b****. Very rude. They need a warm or hut with tables and chairs for smoking since the hotel is smoke free. So if you smoke be prepared to go outside or to your car.

Fairly good. Nice staff. Don't like that there is a $40 charge added to your bill for incidentals or damages before you use anything. It always has been removed by the time we checkout, but just not used to being told the charges to the credit card will be $40 or $50 more than what I was expecting. For whatever reason, it always seems to take a while to check-in, so be prepared to wait for the whole process. Be careful when you book to read the small print about cancellation policies with each choice of room. We go every 2 weeks to Columbia, and I had booked this reservation and later learned that there was another hotel with an earlier breakfast, so 2 days before our travel date I tried to cancel and was told that I couldn't because it had passed the date to be able to cancel without being charged. Good things, there is some breakfast, but 7:30 am was too late for us. The rooms are fairly large and comfortable compared to other hotels in a similar price range. They seem to be clean. Very good things, the staff has been very friendly and trying to do their best.

Staff are excellent. Check in and pay on arrival was simple and easy. Room was spacious, continental breakfast was enjoyable with juices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. A hands free mini pancake maker, biscuits and gravy one day and scrambled eggs and bacon another day. Cold cereal, muffins and fresh fruit. Extra towels on request, although there are signs of aging the place is kept clean. Trash placed outside door picked up, luggage cart available for your use. Heated indoor pool was open until midnight every night but hot tub was closed. Easy directions to get downtown Columbia to dine at the ue Marlin, easy access to Fort Jackson where we attended on son's graduation 11/17/22! Good water pressure in the shower and a variety of TV stations to entertain while in room relaxing. If we have reason to return to the area, we would definitely consider another stay here.

I really enjoyed my stay. It was my college homecoming and I was very happy with the area and place that I had chosen. My room was the bomb and I really enjoyed how quite it was at night. I really enjoyed that the house keeping crew did not come knocking on your door saying house keeping are you ready to go. Glad I didn’t hear that. Overall it will be my go to place again. Thank you to the two wonderful ladies who checked me in. You were awesome 😎

There is one reason that we booked this hotel. We are on a long business trip, and we wanted to be sure to have a hot tub to work out the kinks in our muscles each night. My husband also is rehabbing...
