“Great area. Has the newest Courtyard amenities and lobby. Plenty of restaurants and eateries in the area. Definitely a return location. Much better that the hotels directly near Carowinds for that area.”

“I hosted two client events there in their ballroom. The food was not hot, the portions were portions were so small the 1st time we had a call with the GM to make sure it would be different for the 2nd event. I think they boiled the Steaks....It was embarrassing. I spoke to the GM after our first event, and felt like I was bothering them after spending over $10k on one event. I do a LOT of events, and don't ever complain. But, buyer beware. Marriott Southpark did a beautiful job the night before, so it's not Marriott... It's the ownership of this location.
The building is Beautiful!!! The waitstaff was very nice. But, if you are serving dinner, you'd be 100% better off to use the private room at EPIC Chophouse 100' away, or rent the whole Epic restaurant for a big event. Seriously, it would cost you the same, and the food would be GREAT.
