We had an amazing stay at the Hilton. The staff was really nice and helpful. It was close to the Osaka Station so gave us easy access to the trains and buses to explore Osaka easily. The room was clean and spacious and we had a nice view of the city. We also ordered room service and the food was delicious. There's also a smoking lounge available on the third floor (this is important for smokers since the entire city is smoke-free except for set locations)

The hotel is in a convenient location and the room we eventually got was nice. However when we first checked in the desk staff made it sound like there was some problem with our original room and we needed to move for a night. It was extremely confusing but we eventually realized they were trying to upgrade us to a suite which would have been an extra $500 a day. They were pretty persistent and it was hard to just get the original room we had booked. It was very jarring after staying in such friendly hotels everywhere else in Japan. It made me like Hilton less. I think in the future I will stick to smaller, local hotel chains.

Hilton Osaka, located right next to Osaka Station and 4 major shopping malls, felt like a legacy of an excellent hotel of the past. The staff were professional and the rooms were really spacious (which is not often the case for many rooms in Japan) with a nice Japanese interior to add to the touch. The location is unbeatable with direct access / short walk to the major shopping malls, Osaka Station, and a ton of restaurants. You can also purchase a Limousine Shuttle Bus ticket to the airport from the concierge and the bus stop is just across the road. The hotel also has a small bath house which is free to use for hotel guests. However, it's a bit small with only 1 hot pool, 1 cold pool and a small sauna. It was really love to use but can get a little cramped. The reason I give 3 stars is because this hotel is screaming for a revamp. The hotel felt OLD! The breakfast buffet was a bit underwhelming. I expected some "fancier" options but it had the usual food options you would find even at any other cheap hotels. The buffet also felt like a battlefield... a bit too many people with screaming babies and kids but can't blame Hilton for this.

Great service. The executive lounge was above and beyond. More than just small snacks and drinks, they have pizza, butter chicken, salmon, pasta. Breakfast is more peaceful in the executive lounge but Folk restaurant was great as well and had an omelet station but lacked take away coffee. The check in was easy and painless. The staff was friendly and the cleaning crew surprised me on how great they were. They even organized my personal items when all we asked for was towels. The bad: the attached restaurants were WAY too expensive but good thing there are many cheap options nearby. The television hasn't been updated in looks like a decade, very low tech.

We've been to the Hilton Osaka many times. It's an excellent hotel and is exceptionally located. The rooms are nice. The service is excellent. Just be aware if the hotel is crowded, it's going to be crowded everywhere. Be ready to wait and be assertive at the buffets. There are plenty of families with kids. So be happy or warned depending on your perspective. Good luck!
