“O hotel se hospedaram no vários Holiday Inns e escolheu este especificamente como cães.Quando ficamos em outras pousadas de férias comemos no bar com nosso cachorro, pois não são permitidos no restaurante, o que é totalmente compreensível, o mesmo vale para o café da manhã.Em Colchester, fomos jantar e nos disseram que não havia lugar para comermos com o cachorro e teríamos que sentar no saguão. Houve um casamento com muitas pessoas entrando e saindo com as portas abrindo e fechando estava muito frio no lobby, não exatamente um lugar agradável para uma refeição. Escusado será dizer que fomos para outro lugar.Como não pudemos tomar café da manhã em qualquer outro lugar, decidimos tomar café da manhã em nosso quarto, preenchemos nossas opções e o deixamos na maçaneta da porta. Saí de manhã, ainda estava pendurado na maçaneta. Minha esposa ligou para a recepção para pedir que nosso pedido fosse atendido, ninguém se preocupou em coletá-lo ou perguntar, então fomos em outro lugar para o café da manhã também.A cama era a menor em que eu já dormi em qualquer hotel, a capa do edredom era muito grande para o edredom, deixando cerca de meio metro de capa vazia na borda.Na primeira manhã, tomando banho, o gel de banho acabou, então perguntamos à recepção se poderia ser reabastecido. Venha na segunda manhã, ainda sem gel de banho.Não é uma estadia agradável e eu certamente não vou visitar o Holiday Inn at Colchester novamente, na verdade, ele me colocou fora do Holiday Inns completamente.”

“A very convenient location with spacious rooms and acceptable facilities, however, unfortunately this hotel seems to be experiencing extreme staff shortages/calibre. During our stay we came to find out that a large proportion of the staff were agency workers, which lacked customer service and care. They were inexperienced and untrained. Multiple issues that took some time to resolve, the highlight being the staff member that checked us in not being able to locate the second room that we had booked after being shown the payment receipt and booking confirmation assigning a new room to us and then trying to charge us the following day for their error for the room. The staff member checking us in failed to check the second name on the booking therefore couldn’t locate the second room, this meant that our second room was marked as a no show because of a lack of training within their team. We did meet a lovely bartender who made the experience in the evenings lovely, she was great and genuinely took an interest in why we were staying in the hotel (she was a permanent member of the team). There were pool closures during our stay, which was also frustrating. Overall the team need additional training and understanding of the systems they use. I was appalled to discover that the management couldn’t be bothered to leave their office to come and speak with me after I’d requested they did, it took this to resolve the additional room problem, instead they resolved it from their office without coming to speak to me. I was met with resistance from the front desk staff member when I requested to speak with a manager because she couldn’t resolve my issue, she told me that the general manager was off until Friday and that the other management on site ‘could not resolve issues as they didn’t have the authority to without the general manager’. The mind boggles.”
