“Spent a weekend here for a business training requirement. The meeting / conference facilities were very good and we were regularly brought tea and coffee throughout the day. The lunch and evening meal that was provided was also very good and fulfilled all of our needs. The rooms were comfy and spacious and would recommend to all as I can imagine it would be a nice place to take your partner for a weekend getaway.”

“Very disappointed, the room was no where near the superior double we paid for. The shower was broken & there were large chunks missing from the walls. We also requested early check in but they were too busy & had to wait, we went to find the bar ourselves with no directions from any staff. When we returned to check in an hour later the guy on reception was still having problems, so another wait. Finally get the key no apology nothing, after this we decided to eat an evening meal elsewhere. On returning to the hotel we had to park in what only can be described as a muddy field there was no where near enough parking spaces, so back to the room only to be entertained by children running up & down the hall knocking on doors.
In the morning we had breakfast which was the best thing about our stay. We wouldn’t ever return to this hotel or any Mercure again.”
