Gates hotel is Very nice hotel on Collins’s Avenue . The property is lush and inviting. The front desk person was friendly and efficient, a real asset to the property. We arrived at 10”30AM and were allowed to go ahead and check in. This is above and beyond as we were pretty tired puppies. Our room, though quite small was well appointed and efficiently laid out. The room had great lighting , nice furnishings, a comfortable bed with nice linens and the air conditioning worked great.. We were given a room overlooking the pool with a balcony. The location of the hotel is great and they have valet parking. We enjoyed the pool! We had a private cabana and spent the day there. I recommend the cabana, the Hilton and this hotel in particular.

It's a very nice stay in our opinion but the hidden fees were killer first off there's no parking you have to pay 42 a day for valet parking then there's a extra charge of 30 for beach tent and 2 hours bikes and pool that wasn't optional. Either you use it or not you still got to pay extra 30 on top of your stay. Our bed was extremely comfortable and everything else was good other then the hidden fees. Beware before booking.

Absolutely horrible stay here. The hotel was dirty and rooms were small. But that is far from the worst of our experience. I am a Hilton gold member. I checked out of the hotel and was never emailed an invoice or provided any folio of charges. Weird? I noticed two charges on my credit card. One was for pre authorization hold and the other was apparently for food and beverage and resort fee. I contacted the front desk through messages before ordering food to make sure we had $30 credit to use. They said we did. I call to dispute the charge and the girl at the front desk was entirely rude and unhelpful. She kept telling me to call Hilton honors as you booked third party and your “points” don’t apply. I didn’t use any “points”? Clueless. I told her the reason I ordered was because gold members get $30 credit for food and beverage and her staff confirmed before ordering after looking up my account and stay. Here’s where it gets incredible. I asked the her name for reference when I called customer service or corporate and she actually said thank you sir in a fake voice for calling gates hotel hope you have a nice day and hung up the phone on me. Absolutely DISGUSTING. Do yourself a favor and skip this trash of a hotel. The staff is arrogant and you will likely be overcharged for everything. We actually didn’t use the pool , bikes, beach towels - nothing! Nothing under the “resort fee” did we use. I will never be back to this hotel and I can see why it has horrible reviews. Also to park your car there is atrociously expensive. Should’ve trusted my gut.

Didn't enjoy my stay. No matter what mode I set the central AC to, it kept cooling and kept room temperature to 66-67F. Heat didn't work at all. The only way I survived was sleeping with multiple blankets and turn off fan and AC. I didn't have time for getting this issue reported and corrected because I was there to enjoy not deal with maintenance issues. No self parking. Valet parking $42 (without tip) for 24 hours with in-out privileges. No microwave inside room but there is microwave room on 2nd floor near elevators where meeting room/staircase is. Front desk was really helpful and nice. Make sure you know they charge $100/night for incidental charges.

We have had an excellent stay. The room was clean and noise free. We were upgraded to a balcony room on the top floor and I have added some pictures from said balcony. My only complaint would be the water didn’t get hot enough for my liking but that is more a personal preference than a hotel issue. Pool area was awesome and they have some activities planned for the afternoons so it keeps you entertained. They have a private restaurant attached and ‘Ola’ and it has some great reviews but we didn’t get to eat there as we had made reservations elsewhere.

Antigamente era um motel de beira de estrada, o Ankara Motel, mas foi todo reformado pela rede Hilton, que adicionou um bloco de apartamentos. Mantém a piscina original e um certo charme vintage. A localização, em Middle Beach, é excelente. Um hotel moderninho, estilo W, por um preço mais acessível. Único ponto negativo é a Concierge, que demora muito para atender. Mas vale a visita.

Várias falhas de manutenção no quarto, teve incêndio na lavanderia no meio da noite, o café da manhã é pequeno e bagunçado e com poucas opções. O restaurante é caríssimo e as opções são limitadas. Não gostei nada nada.

Good room, great pool, and solid facilities. Service was impeccable but my room wasn't cleaned on one of the days.. They had some events during the art week which were great and not too imposing if you didn't want to get involved. Decent location as I ended up walking most places, close to the beach and not too far to find some decent places to eat. The other guests I was with had trouble getting their room cleaned for 3 days in a row and the cleanliness could have been better all round.

I was very impressed with the service, quality of the room and amenities of the hotel for the price. I thought I got great value and was very happy with my stay. The staff was excellent and went out of their way to make sure I had a great stay. The only things I didn't like were that the doors and walls seemed thin so since you are in Miami so you may hear some loud talking in the hallways late at night. In my case it didn't last long but I did experience that. Other than that I had a great experience and would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a place to stay in Miami Beach.

No hay una buena relación entre el precio y la calidad del hotel. Te cobran $42 USD por parking por noche, se dejan un depósito de $200 USD que se supone serán devueltos algún día.

Great experience. We slept in until 1pm by accident and we were lucky we weren’t charged for another night! The woman at the front desk was beyond kind and provided excellent customer service. We will be staying here again for our next visit in 20 days! Looking forward to the hospitality again!

It was the best part of my trip. I felt at home. And Karim is the best. So good at welcoming you to a relaxing vaca. Loved it! My room was so comfortable. The hotel was extraordinary! A truly good find! Complimentary beach chairs, pool table , beautiful pool and delicious food and drinks. Had it all right there! Bob was the best with the luggage! Thank you for the best memories and a fabulous vacation! I truly enjoyed south beach. And would highly recommend.

The gates were very accommodating from the beginning. We had a very nice stay. I loved the smell of the hotel and everything they offered. The pool could be a little warmer and the trash from the pool area needed a little work but other then that I definitely will be back for another stay with them. They also have a pool table to enjoy with the fam. A pingpong table near the pool that was pretty cool. And lots of areas just to chill and talk around the hotel.Thank you for a great weekend.

Stayed here last weekend as I was in town for a Comic convention. Best feature of the hotel is an easy 2 block walk to the beach. Love the gym and pool. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean. I liked the text messaging with guests feature to answer questions. Turn around time was sufficient like 10 or so minutes. The entrance is difficult to locate...heads up. I was told that problem was temporary though. Overall enjoyed my visit. No problems

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff very accommodating, I was able to text any and all my concerns and they would respond back promptly all time of the day. The poolside service was excellent I had the chicken Cesar salad. My room was nice the bathroom counters had stains on them but it was clean. I was unable to use the bike service because of some issues with my credit card even though the first 2 hours was free. They have a pool table in the lobby I didn’t use it but I seen other guest playing and having a good time. Overall great view beautiful hotel wonderful staff

Totally decent and nice, but not a spectacular place to stay in South Beach. I don't have my kids on this trip, but I would say it's kid friendly from what I see. Nice accommodations, the pool view room is a nice touch and offers added space. A short walk to the beach and the hotel offers beach accommodations but it's probably a 10 minute walk to those. Food and drinks are good and pricey as you'd imagine. Not a beach front hotel. I'll have to do some more exploring, but at first glance, not a ton of night life or restaurants around that aren't in a hotel. Liquor store just down the street. Rooms are clean and nice as you would expect from a Hilton property. Staff is amazing. As a diamond member I got checked in at 3pm but I heard some people were still waiting for their rooms at 7 PM on a Monday.

Overall good we had a good stay. As with anything and anywhere there will be some flaws. Ours was that we weren’t told that in order to get housekeeping to clean our room we had to notify them 24hrs before. No one brought us any clean towels. Calling downstairs only to get no answer twice. The valet was great, nice staff. Lastly when we booked rooms we asked if we could be on the same floor and that wasn’t the case when we checked in. One things I would give 5 stars on is the cleanliness of the bathroom in the lobby area. And I enjoyed the free warm cookies as well.

Prime location in the center of Miami Beach, off of the crowded South Beach, pretty close to the causeway (so easily accessible from the airport;-), this (almost;-) brand new hotel offers comfortable/spacious rooms, open air pool and fitness. Recently they have added some great classes (yoga, zumba). Their lobby was redecorated about a year ago and upgraded with a concierge desk. The check in desk is kind of hidden... The hotel has a bar and pool 🎱 table. In addition, there is a restaurant facing Collins Ave. That has changed too... I preferred the previous one with a nice happy hour on drinks and food items... On the whole, a nice place and reasonably priced (if you book in advance)

The Gates crew takes really good care of my team and me. We are with them 3 times a year and always happy. Location to CC is great and accomodations are nice. All NY people,,, do realize it is south beach Miami so the pace IS NOT NYC PACE... RELAX!!!

We booked direct and stayed at The Gates Hotel South Beach for 3 days during the Super Bowl festivities. I've definitely had better experiences at hotels. The first impression was definitely bad, after not being able to find the hotel parking, we pulled up to the front & were greeted by valet service. Now, I'm accustomed to valet service at hotels, but not ones who charge $50 a day! (We paid $179 for the room, you're going to charge $50 a day for parking?? We can't help but wonder if this was price gouging since it was Super Bowl week.) After we were told (by the Gates Hotel front desk staff) of this charge, I quickly had my car retrieved & was forced to park 6 BLOCKS down from the hotel & then walk back & forth. We were NOT happy about this. Most of the staff were nice though it did take 20-30 minutes to get check-in to our room. The room was overall comfortable but having the fridge in the bathroom is a bit odd. Room service never answered when we called. We had to keep going down to the lobby every time we needed something. We don't plan on staying at this location again.

Fui de vacaciones con mi pareja y su hermana, nos hospedamos por una semana, donde todo se encontraba muy bien la atención excelente, pero el día 15 de julio de 2019 después de llegar de caminar con mi pareja de la playa siendo las 6:10 am decidí entrar por la parte de l piscina donde por accidente me corte con un vidrio en una zona húmeda del hotel, mi pareja corrió a recepción y solo le brindaron una Cira y una botella de agua que porque no tenían botiquín de primeros auxilios, yo continué mis días pero nunca el hotel me pregunto cómo me sentía, o si necesitaba algo al respecto. Por un mínimo error lamentablemente todo lo bueno que pudo ser pasa hacer aceptable.

I have stayed at many hotels at south beach. This has to be the best one! First of all you definitely get what you paid for. The rooms are super clean. The STAFF members are very friendly! When I called to book a room the customer service representative was great! She helped me find a room in my budget and she did it with speed and efficiency. When I arrived to the hotel the valet workers were very nice as well. When I check in all the staff made me feel welcomed. They did not give me any trouble and they made sure I was okay! My room was beautiful I loved it. I definitely recommend to anyone staying on south beach. This is what you call amazing hotel service! This was my first time staying here and I will definitely be back!
